INFORMATION ON

COST,FINANCING & INSURANCE

Average Cost of Orthodontic Treatment

The cost of orthodontic treatment is determined on an individual basis based on factors such as:

  • Complexity of treatment
  • Length of treatment
  • Type of treatment
  • Insurance Plan Participation

The average price of braces in Orlando and Lake County Florida ranges from $4,000-5,750. This fee represents comprehensive treatment with braces, correcting tooth alignment as well as the fit of the bite. The fees in Central Florida are less than many areas in the country. Treatment fees for each individual patient are different and may fall below or above this range.

The type of treatment you choose can make a difference. For example, traditional braces remain one of the most cost-effective types of orthodontic treatment. Fortunately, many patients can also choose removable clear aligners (such as Invisalign) for a price that is similar to braces. For patients looking for a simple and fast option focused on straightening the front teeth only, treatment can be even less. Other choices, such as lingual braces, usually require a larger investment than braces.

The treatment fee is determined during your new patient consultation. You may elect to begin this consultation in our office, or you may begin the process with a virtual visit. After we determine your treatment goals, the complexity of your treatment, and what type of treatment works best for you, we can review the costs of treatment.

Our treatment coordinators are always available to help you choose a plan that is right for your budget and will get you the smile you deserve.

How Insurance Can Help

Does insurance help with the cost of braces or Invisalign? It’s a question many patients have before starting treatment. Escott Orthodontics helps provide an estimate of your insurance benefits as part of your consultation, so you understand your benefits before starting.

Some employer-sponsored insurance plans will have special benefits for Orthodontic treatment. These benefits will sometimes pay a portion of care provided by an orthodontist for braces, Invisalign, or other types of orthodontic treatment. Dr. Escott is an In-Network Provider for most major insurance plans in Orlando and Lake County, accepting benefits for treatment such as:

  • Adult Braces and Adult Invisalign
  • Early interceptive orthodontic care for Children (Known as Phase 1 treatment)
  • Braces for Teens and Teen Invisalign
  • Removable Clear Aligners such as Invisalign for Adult, Children, and Teens – For Limited or interceptive treatment
  • Lingual braces (also known as invisible braces or hidden braces because they are placed behind the teeth on the tongue side)

Most employer-sponsored insurance plans pay 50-75% of treatment with a maximum payment limited to $750-2,500. These benefit amounts are determined by your employer and your insurance policy.

As you plan for your first visit, please provide us with your insurance information so we can verify your eligibility and benefits before your arrival. If this is not possible, please bring your current insurance card with you to your first appointment. If you change insurance companies or join another employer’s plan, please be sure to let us know. If an insurance referral is necessary, please bring the completed form with you to your appointment.

We will fully attempt to help you receive full insurance benefits; however, you are personally responsible for your account, and we encourage you to contact us if your policy has not paid within a reasonable time frame.
