Christopher Escott, DMD, MS, has been serving the Central Florida community as a certified orthodontist since 2014. Dr. Escott is an experienced orthodontic specialist with advanced training in esthetic and accelerated orthodontic treatments, as well as non-surgical options. He is able to help many patients avoid tooth extractions and jaw surgery through the use of advanced treatment techniques. As a leading Invisalign provider, Dr. Escott is able to achieve exceptional results using clear aligner treatment. Dr. Escott also offers complimentary checkups for younger patients to ensure proper development of their teeth, jaws, and bite. Above all, Dr. Escott promises honest recommendations and exceptional service.
Dr. Escott owns and operates Escott Orthodontics independently, allowing him to deliver the highest-quality care without corporate management interference. He is an active member of the Schulman Study Group for Orthodontic Specialists, an exclusive invitation-only group limited to 125 practices in North America. This membership provides Dr. Escott with invaluable resources to stay at the forefront of orthodontic advancements. He is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
Dr. Escott grew up in Yakima, Washington, and discovered as a young man that he wanted to pursue a career in healthcare, finding his passion in dentistry. He graduated from Central Washington University in 2007 with a BA in biology, minoring in chemistry. He then attended Nova Southeastern University for dental school, where he focused on orthodontics and was awarded membership to the exclusive Omicron Kappa Upsilon society, graduating with honors in 2011.
After dental school, Dr. Escott completed a three-year orthodontic residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, becoming a certified specialist in orthodontics and earning a Master’s of Science degree. During his residency, he also worked nights and weekends as a general dentist at CentroMed, a non-profit community health center, serving the underserved population in San Antonio.
In 2014, Dr. Escott moved to Central Florida and acquired Principe Orthodontics in Mount Dora, as Dr. Gilbert Principe prepared for retirement. Under Dr. Escott’s leadership, the practice has thrived and continues to be a cornerstone in the Lake County community, just as it has since the 1970s when it was founded by Dr. Principe. In 2016, Dr. Escott expanded by merging with College Park Orthodontics, founded by Dr. Noelle Williams, allowing Dr. Williams to transition out for family commitments. In 2024, Dr. Escott continued to expand by merging with Martin Orthodontics in Baldwin Park, as Dr. Jeffrey Martin retired after serving the Orlando community for over 30 years. Each practice expansion has furthered our goal at Escott Orthodontics to provide exceptional clinical care and experiences to our patients by building our team of highly-trained team members and establishing the facilities needed to operate from convenient Central Florida locations.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Escott loves tennis, SCUBA diving, and underwater photography. His original photography is displayed in his office, and he enjoys sharing his dive pictures with patients.
